This is a 3D printed resin sculpt of the Mogador class destroyer by EBard Models.
The Mogador-class were large destroyers consisting of two ships, Mogador and Volta, and were commissioned in 1939. They were extremely fast, very large destroyers intended to act as scouts for the two fast Dunkerque-class battleships. The design evolved from the extremely fast Le Fantasque class and carryed eight guns in semi-enclosed twin turrets.
The class was designed for anti-surface warfare rather than anti-submarine work and were given a large torpedo battery. With their eight 138.6 mm (5.46 in) guns they approached a light cruiser in firepower.
Large as it was, accommodations were more cramped and poorly ventilated than earlier ships because ammunition hoists passed through the crew spaces, which created problems for ships intended for long-endurance sorties into the North Atlantic. The lack of room in the hull forced a number of workshops and offices into the superstructure which added more weight high in the ship.
Both Mogador Volta were present during the British attack on Mers-el-Kébir on 3 July 1940, but only Volta managed to escape to Toulon. Mogador was struck by a 15-inch shell in the rear hull that detonated her ready depth charges despite not actually detonating itself. This destroyed most of her stern above water, but she remained afloat and was repaired enough to be sent to Toulon in November 1940 for reconstruction. Both ships were scuttled in Toulon Harbour when the Germans tried to seize them in November 1942. Both were refloated in 1943 by the Italians, but neither was repaired.

"Listen, Greg at A&A Board Gaming does an excellent job on all his models. The painting, attention to details, accuracy, and decal placement etc., are a artform. Love his pieces and can wait to get my hands on more for my collection. I'm going to post this for all his models that I have bought, because I have loved everyone and have had no complaints at all. He is very timely too on custom orders and via feedback, as well as communications. All in all, very professional with exceptional skills of models."
