GE - Hull Camouflage Summary
Add hull camouflage to your ships to complete your work of art. The addition of camouflage patterns not only adds realism to your ships, but also helps to distinguish a particular country in the crowded European sea zones.
The goal for every camouflage pattern in all navies was to confuse the viewer as much as possible. A very common trait was to emulate false bow and stern edges so the ships would appear shorter than they really were when observed from a distance.
The Kriegsmarine tried some novel patterns including the classic "Baltic Strip" that we use on capital ships and their "Starting Point" pattern which we use on transports and destroyers.
The pattern designs are taken from schematic drawings and pictures of the actual patterns used during the war.
These are sold as a set of starboard and port decals and each side may be a unique pattern.
