Decal Setting Solution Summary

It is highly recommended to apply a decal setting solution onto your decal to create a durable bond with your decal and the smooth plastic surface.

Waterslide decals most often need a setting solution to adhere to the game pieces in order to withstand handling. They just don’t stick very well by themselves and may easily peel off without the setting solution.
 
To use the solution, first affix your decal in place and soak up excess water as best you can with a paper towel, tissue, sponge, etc. and let dry. Then apply a thin layer of setting solution over the entire decal including the edges with a paint brush. The solution may loosen the bond of the decal so try to do this lightly and quickly avoid inadvertently moving the decal from its position. Then let dry. If you accidentally moved your decal, keep it moist and move it back into place. This process will often leave a visible residue so it is recommended to always spray a matte clear coat over the entire game piece. This will make the residue marks disappear and your piece will look fantastic when finished.

The solution comes in a clear plastic reusable container (0.125 oz. / 3.5 g) with a flip top lid which makes it easy to dispense liquids with no mess.

Note: Decal setting solution is used in very small amounts and this size will last for several projects.
