The North American B-25 Mitchell was introduced into service in 1942 and was used in a variety of roles from medium bomber, transport, weather reconaissance, to gun ship. The B-25 was gradually given weapons upgrades until it transformed from a medium bomber to become a true gun ship platform. One experimental variant housed a 75mm cannon. The B-25J model was a strafer variant and carried as many as 18 machine guns. The Mitchell could absorb an extraordinary amount of punishment so it was a good platform for low level strafing attacks. Of the approximately 9800 B-25s produced during the war, 4300 were of the B-25J model.
All pieces come magnetized.
