This is a 3D printed sculpt of the Langley seaplane tender by HBG.
The aircraft carrier CV-1 Langley was converted into a seaplane tender in 1937 and designed AV-3 Langley. During WW2, on 27 February 1942, while ferrying a cargo of USAAF P-40s to Java as part of a convoy leaving Australia to deliver troops and planes to Ceylon, she was attacked by nine twin-engine Japanese bombers and damaged so badly that she had to be abandoned. Escorting ships picked up her crew and scuttled the ship. The escorts then turned back towards Australia and come under attack again, losing more ships and men. 400 men were left behind due to the threat of heavy Japanese submarine activity in the area.
Comes magnetized to hold 1 airplane.
