Akagi Aircraft Carrier - A&A Summary

This is the Axis & Allies Akagi aircraft carrier sculpt from the 1941 game.

The Akagi was the first IJN fleet aircraft carrier. Along with the Kaga fleet carrier, it formed the 1st Carrier Division and was an integral part of the "Kido Butai", the tactical designation for the Combined Fleet's 6 largest carriers. The Kido Butai carried the 1st Air Fleet consisting of 414 aircraft and changed how air power was projected in WW2. It was the 1st Air Fleet that attacked Pearl Harbor. The Akagi can be distinguished from the Kaga by her island, which is on the port side instead of the traditional starboard position.

The Akagi aircraft carrier is from the A&A 1941 game and can be used to provide a more realistic diversity of Japanese fleet carriers.

Purchase a loaded carrier and get a discount on magnetized aircraft.

IJN AKAGI CARRIER 5 product stars
"These guys have a great inventory for various war gamer board games. They put a lot of detail in their miniature military units. The pictures displayed of the IJN - Akagi Carrier is right on par; you will not be disappointed in the painting detail that goes into their game piece miniatures. I would highly recommend these guys." Comfort Inn And Suites, Thomas Hanna - Sunday, April 17, 2022
