Admiral Class Battlecruiser Summary
This is the Axis & Allies battleship sculpt from the 1941 game edition. The Admiral-class battlecruisers were designed near the end of WW1 and were to be named after famous admirals. Of the 4 ships of her class, only the HMS Hood was completed. The others were cancelled in 1919, and no more battlecruisers would be built due to the arms limitations agreements in place at the time. The Hood's design was revised while under construction with improvements learned from the Battle of Jutland. She was completed in 1920, was of an advanced design thought to make her a capable battleship, given her immense size. She was the largest warship in the world for 20 years.
In May 1941 Hood and the battleship Prince of Wales were ordered to intercept the German battleship Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen as they attempted to break out into the North Atlantic. In the subsequent Battle of the Denmark Strait, she was hit by several German shells. The aft magazines of Hood exploded causing catastrophic damage. Her back broken, she sank within 5 minutes of opening fire, taking down all on board but 3 surviving crew members. Due to her perceived invincibility, her loss was a blow to the Royal Navy's prestige and public morale.

"Love the ship goes great with a & a ww1 due to it s mostly unmodernized superstructure. Same can be said about the hood nevada Kongo fuso, warspite, gangut, and nagato. The Nelson is good too due to it being a 1922 era ship have you considered building the Bayern class, Wyoming, invincible, seylitz, Iron duke, or Dante alieihieri class. It would go great with the ww1 edition due to the the ww1 edition having the same battleship model for all countries and it being a pre dreadnought"
